Artistic Assistant: HGB Leipzig (2000–2005)

During my dual role at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig between 2000 and 2005, I had the opportunity to work as an assistant to Prof. Astrid Klein, who was exemplary for me in many ways. I had previously studied under her, and it was she who ensured that I became the first art student in Germany to graduate as a curator. Over time, I was able to take on more of the artistic supervision of the department and learned an immense amount. Among the graduates of the department during my time were, among others, Peggy Buth, Loretta Fahrenholz, Ramon Haze, Christian Naujoks, Mario Pfeifer, Christoph Weber, and Clemens von Wedemeyer. The internet was just emerging at the time—today, there is nothing from that period to be found on it.
