For 25 years, I have worked in various roles with artists – in academia, as a gallerist, as a curator and writer, co-producer and exhibition designer, and I founded and directed the non-profit NGO Neue Auftraggeber (New Patrons) in Germany, helping to bring the concept of citizen commissioned art and mediation onto the cultural political agenda and into arts education. I bring experience in organizational development, team building, commoning, and transformation processes, and both in project-based and long-term methods.
I have opened up my practice to make my experiences more widely accessible and to apply what I do more broadly – primarily for artists, but also for curators, institutions, and other interested parties.
As a mentor, advisor, or coach, I offer one-to-one sessions – mostly via Zoom, in German, English, or French – for international professionals as well as “beginners”, and everyone in between or beyond. Whether in times of crisis or conflict, in long-term developments, in questions of positioning, or in the conception of ambitious art projects – I am here to advise, support, challenge, and inspire.
In addition to working with individuals, I also advise private and public institutions on matters of art, social participation and democracy, transformation, conflict resolution, and strategic development. I also see my involvement in juries, advisory boards, and committees as a form of consulting.
I am also happy to contribute in other roles to conceive, collaborate, and co-create.
Feel free to ask me about possibilities.
